PLAY AND LEARN NIGHT

On March 29th, EECC will host a Play and Learn night for our families from 6:00-7:00 p.m.  Please invite your whole family to attend. Miss Stephanie from Monroe County Public Library will tell a story using the felt board with everyone in the Big Shoe Room. Families will then be divided into classrooms to do a hands-on activity which will be quite yummy! Our Book Fair will also be open from 5:30 - 6:00 & 7:00 - 7:30 p.m.!  There is no need to RSVP to this event! We hope to see you there!

GRANDPARENTS’ DAY

March 27th and 30th are Grandparents’ days at EECC. Invite 1-2 of your child’s grandparents to come to school for a special book read with our local children’s librarian, Miss Stephanie, and let them meet your teacher and see the school.  Please fill out the RSVP slip and return it by 3/24/17.  All adults attending events during the school day must have their Volunteer (background) form done for the 2016/17 school year.  You should have received an RSVP form with directions from your child’s teacher.

EECC will hold a Book Fair March 27-31 in the Big Shoe room.  You will have the opportunity to purchase books during pick and drop off times.  Your purchases help EECC earn free books!

WHAT’S HAPPENING IN MY CLASSROOM?

Miss Kim F.’s classroom:  We are learning about community helpers (i.e. policeman, fireman) and what they do in our community.  We will be using puppets to talk about community helpers and learn about their jobs.

Miss Melissa’s classroom:  We are finishing up our baking theme.  We have learned a lot about how to make things and sell them in our bakery.  After spring break we will focus on Growing and planting.

Miss Heather’s classroom:  We have enjoyed our bakery theme over the past several weeks.  We will be doing more with science after spring break.

Miss Kim S./Miss Trisha’s classroom:  We have Our Town in the classroom that students enjoy playing and learning in.  We have a grocery store and a police station.  We are learning about our community and our community helpers.
