All three schools were able to participate in this venture thanks to a grant from the TechPoint Foundation for Youth, and all three elementaries look forward to continue growing the program in future years. For more information, you can search “VEX IQ” online.

As ambassadors of Stinesville Elementary School, one of our main priorities is to give back to our community. Through the weeks of Monday, October 31st - Friday, November 11th, our school is participating in a Food Drive for Hoosier Hills Food Bank. Hoosier Hills Food Bank collects, stores, and distributes food to non-profit agencies feeding the low-income, ill, and children in south-central Indiana. As a school, we are going to collect over 2,000 lbs of non-perishable food items for the food bank. Each class will collect food items for two weeks, those items will be weighed in every morning and added to the classroom goal! The class with the MOST weight-in-food will win a PIZZA PARTY, sponsored by the Stinesville Ambassadors with help from the Stinesville PTO. ALSO, when our school reaches 2,000 lbs. Mr. Hopkins will dress-up like a baby for a whole school day! Remember to bring in non-perishable items to help your class WIN the class PIZZA PARTY!
Students and staff of Stinesville Elementary helped promote healthy habits by participating in National Walk to School Day on October 5th. The event was a great way to energize students and teachers and get them ready for the day. Please check out the video below!

One of the advantages of the new Harmony 3 Family Access is that it allows parents and students to have separate accounts with their own user names and passwords to access information as well as set notifications. Because the accounts are separate, students will not be able to make changes to any of the settings made by parents.
In the new program you will be able to add all your students into one login and to see the following:

Prior to our visit, we used this experience to learn about our executive branch of government and the roles of the Governor and First Lady. The students learned about the history of the State House and were very excited to see first-hand what we had talked about in the classroom. They found the stained glass dome of the rotunda, made in 1888, very beautiful and an incredible sight to see! We couldn’t leave without taking a picture on the steps outside the State House to capture the moment.
After an exciting morning we could not wait for lunch! We stopped at Steak ‘N Shake in Martinsville and had a delicious meal. The staff at the restaurant was very complimentary of our students’ manners and behavior.
This trip was truly an unforgettable experience for all of us!
