Freedom Shrine Dedication

The Northside Exchange club of Bloomington recently donated a Freedom Shrine to Edgewood High School. The Freedom Shrine is a collection of important documents from United States history, displayed as a group of plaques in the hallway of the high school. All juniors and seniors were invited to a dedication ceremony held in the EHS auditorium. Members of the Northside Exchange Club and The Honorable Stephen Galvin presented a dedication plaque to EHS Principal, Mr. Ackerman. The Freedom Shrine opened the door for an educational opportunity for the students in Mr. Chance's US History class this year. Students in his classes were assigned research projects on each of the individual documents. The work of EHS students Ian Zanger, Alex Pittsford, and Hailea Howard was highlighted by Mr. Chance to conclude the dedication ceremony. (content submitted by Alex Pittsford)
